Summary: PA Unemployment Guide is an independent educational app. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not request or store sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, UC credentials, or banking details). Some features may open official websites (e.g., uc.pa.gov) or allow you to place a phone call to official numbers.
1) Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Diegofer19 (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use PA Unemployment Guide (the “App”).
2) What the app is (Unofficial / Educational)
The App is an independent educational guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or representing the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, or any government agency. For official actions (filing, certifying, payments, claim status), you should use official resources such as uc.pa.gov.
3) Information we collect
We do not collect personal information that identifies you (such as name, address, SSN, unemployment account credentials, or banking information) through the App.
3.1 Information you enter in the app
If the App includes an estimator/calculator, the values you enter (for example, wages) are used locally on your device to show an estimate. We do not receive or store those values on our servers.
3.2 Automatically collected information
We do not run our own servers for the App. However, depending on how the App is configured, certain data may be collected automatically by:
- The operating system and app stores (e.g., Android/Google Play) for performance, crash reports, and fraud prevention.
- Third-party SDKs (only if enabled), such as advertising or analytics providers.
When enabled, these providers may collect information like device identifiers, approximate location (from IP or coarse signals), app interactions, crash logs, and diagnostics. See the section “Third-party services” below.
4) Advertising (AdMob) and analytics
Ads/analytics are optional and depend on the build you publish.
4.1 If you show ads
If the App displays ads (for example, via Google AdMob), the ad provider may collect and process information to serve ads, measure performance, and prevent abuse. This can include device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and ad interaction data.
Google’s policies and explanations:
4.2 If you use analytics
If analytics (e.g., Google Analytics for Firebase) is enabled, it may collect app usage events and device information to help us understand how the App is used and improve stability.
5) Permissions
The App is designed to be informational. Depending on features you use, the App may request limited permissions, such as:
- Internet access to open official websites and load content.
- Phone / dialer access only to initiate a call when you tap a “Call” button (you can cancel before placing the call).
We do not use permissions to collect sensitive personal information.
6) External links and official sites
The App may include links that open third-party websites (such as uc.pa.gov or other official resources). When you leave the App, your activity is governed by the privacy policy of the website you visit. We do not control those third-party sites.
7) Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information.
If third-party SDKs are enabled (ads/analytics), data may be shared with those providers as described in their policies, for purposes such as delivering ads, analytics, crash reporting, and security/fraud prevention.
8) Data retention
We do not store personal information on our own servers.
If third-party SDKs are enabled, those providers may retain data according to their own retention policies.
9) Security
We take reasonable steps to minimize data collection. Any official actions are performed on official websites and services. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use caution when navigating external sites and never share sensitive information in unofficial channels.
10) Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience seeking unemployment information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service used in the App, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address the issue.
11) Your choices
- Uninstall: You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the App.
- Ad controls: You may be able to control ad personalization through your device settings and Google’s ad settings.
- Permissions: You can manage permissions in your device settings (e.g., phone/dialer prompts).
12) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated in-app or in the store listing when appropriate.
